20,000 Reads Under the Sea

May 30 through July 26

Get ready for a summer of under-the-sea adventures with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! If you are a teen ages 13 to 18 and have an Oak Park Public Library card, you are eligible to join the summer reading program. Beginning Thursday, May 30, sign up at any library location, or register online.

The summer reading program is so much more than just books. Come to library events, volunteer or write reviews of the books you read, music you listen to or movies you see for credit toward prizes. You can also listen to audiobooks, or download ebooks.

Each book, event, or volunteer activity equals one entry. Turn in entries at any library location or log them online, where you can also share your books and see what your friends are reading. Your entries will enter you in a weekly drawing for prizes, and one lucky person will go home with the Grand Prize Package!

Visit oppl.org/summerreading for all of the details.

Hey, does anyone know what week we're on?

We're midway through week 4. We'll be drawing for a Book Table gift card next!

I think that the SRP should be more open to books.

Thanks for your suggestion! We'll take it into consideration when we plan next year's SRP. Until then, remember that you can read a book of any genre and submit the review to our weekly drawings.
