2013 Teams

Art Attack

Use your hands and imagination to plan and create public art! Join us for an exciting and visionary adventure. Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19, 10 am to 3 pm, Main Library

Booktalkers

Do you love reading and sharing opinions? Discover new novels and explore different genres with us. Discuss titles you love (or hate!) and make video book trailers to recommend good reads to the world. Fridays, June 10 – July 27, 2 to 4 pm, Main Library; includes one field trip on Saturday, June 29

Documentarians

Love film and video? Help record what’s happening in the library this summer. Wednesday, July 10 - Tuesday, July 16, 1 to 4 pm, Main Library

Drop Ins

Drop in if you are interested in extra volunteer experience or if you prefer to work independently rather than with a group. Tasks may include organizing books on the shelves and putting books on display. Wednesdays, June 10 - July 27, 3:30 to 5 pm, Main Library and/or Saturdays, June 10 – July 27, 10 to 11:30 am, Main Library

Reader's Theatre Troupe

Adapt classic literature and perform dramatic readings for local groups. This is a great team for teens who love books and acting. Wednesdays, June 10 – July 27, 10 am to noon, Main Library

Rising Reader Mentors

Be a mentor and make a lasting difference in someone’s life. You’ll work with a teacher leading a small group of 3rd-5th graders. Read with kids who need a little extra help this summer, and play around with
science and math, too. Tuesdays, June 10 – July 27, 10 am to noon, or Thursdays, June 10 – July 27, 10 am to noon. Available at each location.

Tech Gurus

Are you comfortable helping someone set up an email account, format a resume, transfer photos to devices or set up new equipment? Put your tech savvy to use, gain customer service skills, and provide computer
help to customers one-on-one. Training at Dole Branch on Thursday, June 13 and Thursday, June 20, 2 to 4 pm. One-on-one sessions, two hours per week, weekday afternoons and evenings, Dole Branch or Maze Branch.

Remember, applications are due May 4.
