Review:

The book is a collection of folktales from all over Africa, but they also have a little background information on each of the countries so you know a little more about the story's origin. The thing I liked best about it is the artwork. Whoever illustrated it took fabric and buttons and beads and sewed them into really elaborate designs, then put pictures of them in the book.

What grades do you think this is best for? 6-7th
Why should someone read, watch or listen?

It's a fun way to learn more about Africa. The stories are pretty short, so you can fit one in before bed or something, but are also lengthy enough to really explain what's going on. If you like lots of fantasy and magic or just plain like folktales, I recommend this book.
